President Donald Trump on Friday joined in on criticism of former First Lady Jill Biden after she said she thought her husband, former President Joe Biden, was having a stroke during the 2024 president debate.
“Jill Biden is now out there finally admitting that she did NOT know what went wrong with Sleepy Joe during our spectacular, and highly rated, 2024 Presidential Debate, where Joe was not exactly performing to the highest level of debate standards,” Trump said in a Truth Social post. “She said that she thought he was having a “stroke,” and various other really bad things, and yet never rushed onto the stage to help her troubled husband, as any good wife would do.”
Trump has frequently stated that Joe Biden’s administration and his wife hid the true state of his health, claiming he was declining much faster than what was presented to the public.
“The only thing she failed to mention was how well I was doing prior to his near total collapse,” Trump added. “In other words, as many have asked, did my strong performance in that debate cause him to plain and simple “choke,” leading to his ignominious defeat, or were other reasons the cause? Nobody else knows the answer to that, BUT I DO!!!”
Jill made the comments about her husband’s performance in the 2024 debate against Trump earlier this week, a contradiction of the great job she claimed he had done immediately after.
“I was frightened, because I had never ever seen Joe like that before or since,” Jill Biden said during an interview with CBS News. “I don’t know what happened. As I watched it, I thought, ‘Oh my God, he’s having a stroke.’ And it scared me to death.”
Democrats are not happy that Jill Biden is revisiting the pivotal moment in the 2024 campaign, with one strategist previously telling the Washington Examiner that the Bidens “suck.” Another said it’s “definitely not helpful” as the Democrats hope to take back control of Congress in November.
