Florida State has sputtered this season and Miami has not lost a game. Both trends held true, although barely, as the Hurricanes needed two overtimes to survive another upset bid on a day filled with chaotic finishes and upsets.
Miami quarterback Darian Mensah threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns, the last of them a 3-yarder to Malachi Toney in the second overtime, and No. 3 Miami held on to beat archrival FSU 43-35 in a back-and-forth classic.

Toney finished the night with 154 receiving yards and threw a 2-point conversion pass to Cooper Barkate. Hurricanes defensive back Bryce Fitzgerald sealed the win with an interception for the Hurricanes on the final play.
Ashton Daniels threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns for FSU. Duce Robinson had a pair of touchdown catches late, including a 75-yarder that tied the game with less than three minutes left in regulation and a 20-yard score to open the first overtime.
