A JetBlue flight flying from Chicago rolled into the grass off a runway after landing at the Boston Logan International Airport Thursday morning.
JetBlue flight 312, coming from the Chicago O’Hare International Airport, “went into the grass” off runway 33-L at around 11:55 a.m. local time, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
No injuries were reported from the incident and the runway was closed down, Massachusetts Port Authority told The Hill’s sister network NewsNation. The plane is being assessed, and passengers were bussed over to the terminal.
“Customers safely deplaned and were bussed to the terminal. Safety is JetBlue’s top priority. We will conduct a full investigation of the incident and will work closely with the relevant authorities to understand the cause,” a JetBlue spokesperson told The Hill in an emailed statement on Thursday.
Apart from JetBlue, the FAA will also probe the incident.
It is unclear what caused the plane to veer off.
The plane took off from O’Hare at 8:41 a.m. local time and landed at Boston Logan Airport at 11:49 a.m., according to FlightAware.
