President Donald Trump and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick are expected to announce a multibillion-dollar natural gas project in Alaska on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
Trump is also expected to announce South Korea’s investment in several major projects, including approximately $54 billion for the Alaska natural gas project.
The announcement comes as Republicans are facing a narrow race for the Last Frontier’s Senate seat. Incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) is facing off against former Democratic Rep. Mary Peltola in the November general election.
